Refund & Cancellation Policy

Overview

De Wonderstruck believes in fair, transparent engagements. This policy covers how cancellations and refunds are handled for our custom software development services. We will always try to resolve any dissatisfaction before a refund is requested — please reach out to us first.

Cancellation Policy

Project-based engagements: - You may cancel a project at any time with written notice. - Work completed up to the point of cancellation is billable at the agreed milestone rate. - Any milestone that has not yet commenced is not billable, and any advance payment for that milestone will be refunded. Retainer and ongoing arrangements: - Monthly retainers may be cancelled with 7 business days' written notice prior to the next billing cycle. - Requests received less than 7 business days before the next cycle will be treated as cancellation for the following cycle. - Services under active delivery cannot be paused mid-cycle — the current period will be completed and billed. Promotional or discounted engagements: - Projects engaged under special pricing or promotional offers are non-cancellable once work has commenced, except in cases of material breach by De Wonderstruck. De Wonderstruck reserves the right to terminate an engagement in cases of non-payment, misrepresentation, or violation of agreed terms.

Refund Policy

Our goal is to deliver work you are proud of. In cases of genuine dissatisfaction: - Refunds are available for milestones or deliverables that have not yet been started at the time of a valid cancellation request. - If a deliverable has been partially completed, a pro-rated refund may be offered at our discretion, based on the work done to date. - Completed and approved milestones are non-refundable. - Initial discovery calls and scoping sessions provided free of charge are not billable and require no refund. Refund processing: - Approved refunds will be processed within 7 working days. - Refunds are issued to the original payment method (bank transfer or UPI) used at the time of payment. - If payment was made by credit card via a payment gateway, the refund will be credited to the same card. Non-refundable items: - Completed and signed-off project milestones. - Domain registration fees — once a domain is registered on your behalf, the registrar fee is non-refundable. Domain ownership is transferred to you in full. - Hosting and infrastructure costs already committed or provisioned on your behalf, including VPS instances, cloud resources, and managed databases, are subject to the respective provider's own refund terms. - Third-party SaaS subscription costs (payment gateways, email services, analytics tools, etc.). - Rush or expedited delivery fees. Only first-time clients are eligible for a full refund of the initial deposit if cancellation is requested within 48 hours of project commencement and before any substantive work has begun.
